65 Division Bids Farewell to its GOC

The 65 Infantry Division troops bade farewell to the outgoing Major General E.A.D.P Edirisinghe psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 65 Infantry Division in a formal ceremony at the Division Headquarters in Thunukkai on Tuesday (June 13).

According to military formalities, the outgoing GOC was honoured in a colourful Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour by Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops before he addressed all the Officers and Other Ranks in the premises.

Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Divisional Staff and troops under command took part in the event.

Prior to relinquishing his duties, he paid courtesy visits to the 651, 652, 653 Infantry Brigades and 10 SLLI, 4 Gajaba Regiment, 17 (V) SLLI camps and interacted with his troops.

Major General E.A.D.P Edirisinghe psc were to retire from the Army shortly after a distinguished career.
