Troops of the 64 Infantry Division, with sponsorship from the Pudukuduirippu Regional Council and local donors, recently renovated the children's park at Oddusudan. The project was carried out under the guidance of Major General W.P.A.D.W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commander of Security Forces-Wanni. The newly renovated park was officially opened to the public in a simple ceremony held on 16 March 2024.
During the ceremony, Major General M.S. Devapriya USP ndc, the General Officer Commanding of the 64 Infantry Division, attended as the chief guest. Brigadier D.B.L. Kolonne USP, the Commander of the 641 Infantry Brigade, along with the 8 Medium Artillery Regiment and Garrison Engineer Oddusuddan, provided essential instructions for the project's execution.
As part of the event, school accessories were distributed to preschool children, enhancing their learning experience.
Senior officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
