‘Sathyamurthi’ Society, a voluntary organization in response to a request of the General Officer Commanding 64 Division - Major General Manjula Karunarathne recently offered its generosity to distribute a stock of 100 dry ration packs among more than 100 needy families in Oddusddan area considering difficulties faced by them.
Under the guidance of the Commander 642 Brigade - Brigadier Rasika Perea, troops of 23 Vjayabahu Infantry Regiment and 17 (V) Gajaba Regiment launched the distribution programme in close connection with respective Grama Seva officials.
The Civil Affairs Officer in the 642 Brigade and Commanding Officers of 23 VIR and 3 (V) GR with the support of those families in Oddusudan, Sammankulam, Thanduwan and Periyaiddimadu areas coordinated the project.
