The fourth anniversary of the 61 Division Headquarters of the Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), was marked with a few special programmes on Wednesday (30).
At the commencement of the day’s programme, troops accorded a Guard Turn Out plus a Guard of Honour to the Division’s General Officer Commanding, Brigadier A Kariyakarawana.
After receipt of the salute, Brigadier Kariyakarawana was invited to plant a tree sapling in the premises as a token of memory.
A cricket tournament with the participation of soldiers and officers serving the 61 Division Headquarters that got underway the same afternoon brought the day’s anniversary programme to an end.
