Troops of the 23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) of the Security Force Headquarters - East coordinated the offer of free dry ration packs to 60 low-income group families who live in Komari, Pottuvil, Panama, Sengamuwa and Hulannuge areas on Sunday (1).
The beneficiaries were selected in close collaboration with the Grama Niladari of respective areas.
The sponsorship was given by Mr. Gemunu Perera, Chairman, Bay Vista Hotel, Arugambay and the stock of 60 dry ration packs was worth more than Rs 261,000.00.
The Commanding Officer, Officers, and Other Ranks of 23 SLSR together with beneficiaries attended the occasion and recipients thanked the Army for its initiative and the coordination.
