6 (V) SLAWC Team Win Army Women’s Inter Unit Cricket Tournament

6 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) Cricket team secured Championship in the Army Women’s Inter Unit Cricket Tournament - 2014 defeating 2 (V) SLAWC Cricketers in the final match, held at Polo Grounds, Diyatalawa on Tuesday (25).

The tournament was organized by Sri Lanka Army Cricket Committee with the participation of six women’s units in Sri Lanka Army.

Private H.I.S. Mendis of 6 (V) SLAWC showed the best performance in the final match and was awarded the Women of the Match trophy while Private K.A.G. Udeni Chathurika of 2 (V) SLAWC was awarded the Women of the Series trophy.
