Intending to promote goodwill, understanding and sports skills among soldiers serving all formations under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT), a volleyball tournament was organized, following an initiative of Major General Jayantha Senevirathna, Commander, Security Forces - MLT.
The finals after selecting best teams out of the best during the tournament got underway at the 7 Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps grounds on Sunday (26) between the teams of the SFHQ-MLT and 6 (Volunteer) Military Intelligence Corps (6 (V) MIC). Commander, SF-MLT watched the final tussle as the Chief Guest, together with several Senior Officers.
After a tough encounter, 6 (Volunteer) Military Intelligence Corps volleyball team emerged as Champions amid roars of applause.
Major General Jayantha Senevirathna, Commander, Security Forces - MLT distributed trophies and shields to the winners and participants.
