Troops of the 6 Sri Lanka Artillery, laid the foundation stone for a new house for a needy family in Meevitigammana on 28 March 2024. The initiative, conducted under the guidance of Major General K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayake USP, the General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division and supervision of the Commander of 141 Infantry Brigade.
Generous donors including Mr. Sabri, Mrs. Sabitha Vindani Sarap, the Secretary of ‘Let us be a shadow foundation’ and Mr. Gihan Malalgoda have promised the financial sponsorship for those construction to be done by Army troops.
The General Officer Commanding of 14 Infantry Division participated in the event as the chief guest. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, family members and villagers were also present at the occasion.
