Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Chief of Staff and Colonel of the Regiment Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regiment inaugurated the newly-installed water purification plant inside the 6 SLLI Regiment camp in Mihintale, Anuradhapura on Monday (6).
The Commanding Officer, 6 SLLI warmly welcomed Major General Channa Weerasuriya upon arrival and subsequently invited him to inaugurate the water purification plant, a long-felt need of the troops.
During his stay, the Chief of Staff had the chance of interacting with a cross section of the troops in the camp.
Several Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
