6 Sri Lanka Armored Corps (SLAC) troops showing their concern for human welfare erected a new house for a needy family in Kithuluthuwa, Morawewa area with sponsorship provided by Mr. U Anuradha Kothalawala who is residing in Udahamulla area. The new house was vested in the beneficiary on 09 April 2024 during a brief ceremony.
The Commanding Officer of 6 SLAC took the initiative to complete this house using technical skills and manpower assistance given by troops of 6 SLAC for the construction work.
During the warming ceremony, the house keys were symbolically handed over to the beneficiary by the Major General P.A.M Peiris RSP USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of 22 Infantry Division.
At the same occasion, Mr. U Anuradha Kothalawala donated dry ration packs to 25 needy families in the area. Senior Officers, Officers, government officials and Other Ranks were among participants in the warming ceremony.
