Troops of the 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (6 SLAC) of the 223 Infantry Brigade under the 22 Infantry Division of the Security Force HQ – East organized a blood donation campaign on Tuesday (04 July) at the camp premises in Morawewa in co-operation with medical officials at Trincomalee District Hospital Blood Bank.
A total of 55 troops of the 6 SLAC voluntarily donated their blood during the programme for the benefit of seriously-ill patients in Trincomalee as the Blood Bank has run short of blood for surgeries.
The blood donation programme was arranged under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel P.W.N.P.W.B.S.U.B Pilimathalawa psc, 6 SLAC Commanding Officer.
