A water leak occurred on the Bakmeegama tank bund in Bakmeegama Grama Niladahari Division due to heavy rains was repaired using sand bags by 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps troops on Friday (31).
After the matter was brought to the notice of the troops, Major General Sanath Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding 22 Division instructed the Commander 223 Brigade to immediately attend to the need with his troops.
Commander 223 Brigade, Brigadier Nadeeka Kulasekara, Lieutenant Colonel P.A.R. Wijerathne, Commanding Officer of 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps and troops participated in the emergency.
