592 Infantry Brigade with Sponsorship Provides School Accessories to School Students

Sponsorships extended jointly by the Past Pupils' Association of Colombo Royal Colleg and the Alumni Association of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, through the coordination of Mr. Prabath Lokubalasuriya, the founder of 'Atha Hitha' Foundation enabled Army personnel of the 592 Infantry Brigade of the Security Force HQ- Mullaitivu to distribute a large stock of school accessories among 110 needy students studying in Thannimurippu Primary School and Unnapillaw Primary School on Tuesday (04 July).

This project was conducted on the instructions of Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The directions of Brigade Commander, 592 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier S.D.P.C. Arachchige made the project a success.

This project was aimed at supporting the improvement of educational standards of underprivileged school children and each pack given on the occasion was worth Rs 3000/=.

Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, joined the distribution ceremony as the chief guest on the invitation of the Commander 592 Infantry Brigade.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, sponsors and school staff were also present at the distribution location.
