More than 320 G.C.E General Certificate of Education (O/L) examination candidates from several schools in Mulliyaweli, Mullaittivu and Kokilai in areas served by 59 Division troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) attended a Seminar on Mathematics, organized by the 59 Division Headquarters at Mulliyaweli, Uththankarni Pullayar Kovil Reception Hall on Saturday (3).
Mr L. Sathis Kumar of Vavuniya Puthukulama Maha Vidyalaya and Mr E Saduwan of Vavuniya Central College at the request of Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division delivered the lectures on Mathematics.
Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu has given his blessings to the project.
Towards the end of the Seminar session, each attendee was awarded a valuable stock of books, related to their syllabuses as incentives.
Both Mr Gajanayake, a lecturer at Sri Jayawardenapura University Management Faculty and Mr Jayantha, Manager at Mulliyaweli Bank of Ceylon sponsored those gift parcels to all 320 O/L candidates attending the seminar. The cost of those books exceeded Rs 120,000/=.
