104 Army personnel including Officers of the 582 Brigade of the 58 Division in Horana at the request of the Blood Bank at Ragama along with civilians donated blood for the benefit of patients during an arrangement that took place on Sunday (28).
The community oriented project, closely supervised by Brigadier Priyanga Kulathilaka, Commander, 582 Brigade with the coordination of the Civil Affairs Officer got underway at ‘Indumathi’ Community Hall at Dikhenpura in Horana.
In response to a request of the blood bank, the arrangement was made possible with the blessings of Major General Vipula Ihalage, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division.
The Blood Bank authorities thanked the Army for the quick assistance in this regard.
