With the intention of relieving economic hardships of needy people, steps were taken by 58 Division troops of the 1 Corps Headquarters for distribution of dry ration parcels among 40 families of low income groups, living in the general area of Tabbowa and Nelumwewa Grama Niladari Division on Sunday (24).
Major General Rohitha Aluvihare, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division took the initiative in this regard, sponsored by Mrs Deepika Gunasekera, Director of Industrial Safety Equipment Company Pvt Ltd in response to a request of the 58 Division Headquarters.
The coordination for the donation was done by Colonel Nalindra Mahavithana, Colonel Logistics Headquarters at Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force.
