Troops of the 574 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Saturday (18) marked their sixth anniversary with several commemorative programmes, held at the 574 Brigade Headquarters premises in Mankulam.
At the outset, Colonel Chandana Somaweera, Brigade Commander, 574 Brigade was greeted to a Guard Turnout on his arrival by members of the 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) at the entrance.
Planting of a sapling in the premises, a troop address, a group photograph-taking and an All Rank lunch, etc brought the anniversary ceremonies to an end, the same afternoon.
Appreciative certificates to all achievers in different spheres of sports, administration, community work, etc were also awarded to All Ranks during the same day.
A Bodhi Pooja ceremony at the shrine in the Brigade Headquarter premises on Friday (17) invoked blessings on the troops and the Headquarters.
