The foundation stone-laying ceremony for the new office complex of the 573 Infantry Brigade at the newly acquired land at Katapola took place on 4 April 2024, amidst religious formalities.
The ceremony was attended by Brigadier B.D.R Budagoda USP, the former Commander of the 573 Infantry Brigade, who was invited by the present Commander of the 573 Infantry Brigade, Colonel D.D.G.A. Jayawardena USP psc.
Senior officers, Officers, Other Ranks and government officials participated in the event.
