The 562 Brigade Headquarters in Echchankulam marked its 1st Anniversary on Tuesday (2), giving priority to multi religious observances.
On the anniversary day, a Guard Turnout, presented by 562 Brigade troops to the Brigadier Senaka Premawansha Commander 562 Brigade as a formality on arrival honoured him. Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event that culminated with an all rank tea.
On the same day, to be in line with the "Thuru Mithuru Nawa Ratak" project of the Commander of the Army, 100 cashew plants were planted at the Headquarters premises of the 15 (V) SLSR Periyawalanyankaddu on account of the 1st Anniversary of the 562 Infantry Brigade.
