The 56 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni organized a discussion session on the topic “Growth and future prospects of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) and its impacts on South Asian Region and Sri Lanka” at the 56 Infantry Division premises in Kokeliya on Wednesday (March 08).
During the session, a group of 08 Officers presented a comprehensive presentation to a gathering of 50 Officers including Major General Manjula Kariyawasam, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Infantry Division who joined as the chief guest for the occasion.
Furthermore, Major General Nalinda Niyangoda, GOC, 54 Infantry Division, Brigade Commanders, and Commanding Officers, in the 56 Infantry Division joined the session virtually via zoom technology.
Towards the end, the audience participated in a valuable question-answer session.
This was initiated under the directions given by Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni with the intention of sharpening the knowledge of the Officers on International Relations.
