56 Division HQ Plants Saplings along A 9 Road

A project to plant saplings on both sideways of the A-9 road near the 56 Division HQ to be in line with the ‘Thuru Mithuru Nawa Ratak’ project of the Commander of the Army was launched by the 56 Division on Thursday (29).

This project was conducted under the directions of the General Officer Commanding 56 Division - Major General Nandana Dunuwila with the assistance of Green Forest Association at Athurugiriya.

The Executive Director - Green Forest Association, Mr Harindra Yasas Serasinghe contributed to the project with about 400 saplings and the progarmme was coordinated by the General Manager - Edna Group of Companies, Mr Gajaba De Silva and the Civil Affairs Officer, 56 Division, Lieutenant Colonel W.K.A.S Priyanthalal.
