Troops serving the 56 Division area in Vavuniya under the guidance of their General Officer Commanding, Major General Nandana Dunuwila gave away 700 hot lunch packs among needy families in Vavuniya on account of Poson Poya day (24).
A few philanthropists and donors in Vavuniya district, conscious of difficulties being faced by the general public due to prevailing Covid -19 pandemic wanted the troops to launch this project on this sacred day. Troops in groups delivered those cooked meal packets to most deserving categories.
