551 Bde's 18th Anniversary Builds a New House for a Needy Family

Troops of the 551 Brigade under the 55 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) to coincide with their 18th anniversary laid the foundation stone to build a new house for a needy family in Point Pedro.

Colonel P.P.A Perera, Commander, 551 Brigade joined the cornerstone-laying ceremony. The military formalities, connected to anniversary celebrations, commenced with a Guard Turnout presented by the troops of the 18 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry saluting the Brigade Commander. The parade consisted of the troops of 18 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 19 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 20 Sri Lanka National Guard.
