Several programmes were conducted during 7 - 22 December 2019 on account of the 23rd anniversary of the 55 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on the guidelines given by Major General Sampath Kotuwegoda, General Officer Commanding, 55 Division.
'Pirith' chanting and alms-giving to members of the Maha Sangha, award of colours and trophies to achievers in athletics of all formations under the 55 Division, military honours, all rank lunch and a musical entertainment were among major features that added importance to the commemoration.
A formal Guard Turnout and a parade saluted the GOC on Friday (20), the anniversary day.
