A volleyball tournament among troops under command to the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J), organized by the Forward Maintenance Area (North) under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya got underway in order to improve the sportsmanship of officers and soldiers and to develop cohesion among them with 10 teams participating.
After a tight competition, the 55 Division Team emerged champions beating the 52 Division Team in the finals of the volleyball tournament.
The Best Dasher trophy went to Private H.P Jayasena of 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment. The Best Passer was Private B.U.U Gunasekara of 1 Mechanized Infantry Regiment. The finals were held at the Forward Maintenance Area (North) premises on Friday (6).
Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna graced the finals and awarding occasion as the Chief Guest and awarded the Championship trophy to the winners.
