Troops of the 541 Infantry Brigade of the 54 Infantry Division held a ‘Rice Dansela’ (free eatery) near the Kallady Mannar camp on account of the Vesak Poya Day (5 May).
Nearly 1000 people in and around the area enjoyed the free treat. Major General W.W.H.R.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda RWP RSP VSV ndu psc, General officer Commanding, 54 Infantry Division and Colonel W.S Gamage RSP USP psc, Commander, 541 Infantry Brigade graced the inauguration as chief invitees.
Generous troops of the 54 Infantry Division HQ and the 541 Infantry Brigade as well as under command battalions provided monetary assistance to the success of the project.
