The finals of the Inter-Division Cricket Championship - 2022 of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) got underway on Saturday (17) at the 54 Division HQ playground in Thallady, Mannar.
Major General Champaka Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni as the Chief Guest, witnessed the finals and gave away trophies and certificates.
After a neck-to-neck tussle, players in the 54 Division emerged as champions of this year’s tournament. The 21 Division cricketers were the runners-up. Major L.M Suranga of 15 (v) Gemunu Watch was awarded as the Man of the Series.
The Chief Guest and other Senior Officers joined the distribution of trophies and certificates to the winners. A large gathering of Officers and Other Ranks watched the final matches.
