533 Infantry Brigade Marks Its 27th Anniversary

The 533 Infantry Brigade celebrated its 27th Anniversary with a series of events conducted under the guidance of Colonel G.A.K.R. Gunarathne psc, the Commander of the 533 Infantry Brigade, from 11 to 13 March 2024.

Before the anniversary day, troops held a cricket tournament on 11 March 2024. The following morning, the troops offered an almsgiving to the members of the Maha Sangha at Punyawaradharama Temple, Palugaswewa. Afterwards, the troops participated in a bodhi pooja ceremony at the camp premises.

On the anniversary day, troops presented a formal Guard Turnout to the Commander of 533 Infantry Brigade followed by a group photograph. Later, he planted a sapling on the premises and interacted with the troops during the All Ranks tea and lunch.
