532 Infantry Brigade troops, well aware of the educational needs, desperately needed by an orphaned girl, clever at studies at Dehiattakandiya National School facilitated the supply of school essentials, to the value of Rs 30,000 and a cash deposit of Rs 20,000 in her bank account with sponsorship, provided by 'Yuthukama' charity organization on 07 November 2022.
The clever student in Grade 8 grows up under the care of her grandmother after she lost her parents; teachers of the school brought her miserable plight to the attention of the troops serving the area. Under the guidance and coordination of Brigadier Sumal Wickramasekara, Brigade Commander, 532 Infantry Brigade, troops with representatives of the sponsors and handed over all incentives to her at the 532 Infantry Brigade premises at Mawanagama, Sandunpura.
