The troops of the 52 Infantry Division, offered refreshments to devotees, who attended the Maha Shivaratri celebrations at Shivam Kovil, Point Pedro from 08 to 09 March 2024. Over 5,000 devotees received treats from the troops.
Major General Y.A.B.M. Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, coordinated the financial contribution for this event.
Troops of 521 Infantry Brigade, 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment and 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provided support in arranging the event.
The Kovil committee members of Shivam Kovil and civilians expressed their gratitude to the troops for their support which contributed to the success of the event.
