52 Infantry Division Marks Its 28th Anniversary

Military formalities and a simple ceremony marked the 28th Anniversary of the 52 Infantry Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Thursday (24 Aug).

At first, troops in accordance with military traditions, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 52 Infantry Division was saluted in a Guard Turnout followed by a Parade in honour of the GOC.

23 Gemunu Watch troops presented the salute. Subsequently, a group photograph was taken before the GOC planted a sapling and addressed the troops.

An All Rank lunch brought the anniversary segment to culmination.
