On information received, alert Military Intelligence Corps (MIC) troops of the 513 Brigade, together with 16 (v) Gemunu Watch troops captured a haul of approximately 100 kg of Kerala cannabis while being brought ashore in a boat from Kankesanthurai -Madagal coastal belt area early this morning on Sunday (23) and a suspect aboard the boat had gone missing as it was reaching the beach.
The recovered cannabis stock and the boat were handed over to STF Police in Jaffna. Brigadier Rizvi Razick closely monitored and gave necessary directions for the capture.
