5 SLLI Troops Assist Elders to Worship ‘Dalada Maligawa’

27 elders in Victoria Elders’ Home in Rajagiriya who were on a pilgrimage to Kandy to worship the sacred Dalada Maligawa were given assistance by 5 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops under the supervision of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central.

Refreshments were also served by 5 (V) SLLI troops in collaboration with the 11 Division, General Officer Commanding and Commanding Officer of the 5 (V) SLLI and Officers and Other Ranks.

Troops assisted those adults for their passage to inner chambers of the sacred premises and gave their helping hand as necessary.
