4 SLSR Troops of 583 Brigades Help People with Weak Vision

Troops of the 583 Brigade and the 4 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under the 58 Division in the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) together with Mahanuwara Optical (PVT) Ltd organized an eye clinic for Kotiyakumbura people in Kegalle on Friday (20).      

Eye Specialist, Dr. Nimal Weerakoon conducted the eye clinic at the 4 SLSR Battalion premises and 474 spectacles were distributed among the people with eye-sight impairments.  

Dr Weerakoon and Mahanuwara Optical (PVT) Ltd sponsored the supply of spectacles. 
    
The clinic was conducted under the supervision of Major General Kavinda Gunawardena, Commander, 58 Division and Brigadier Randula Hathangoda, Commander, 583 Brigade. 

Senior officers including the Commanding Officer, 4 SLSR together with the Chief incumbent, Ampe Sri Sobhitharama Vidyasagara Pirivena and government officials participated in the programme.
