A welfare project, sponsored by Major S.P.I.H Senanayake psc Lsc, Commanding Officer of 4 Gemunu Watch of the 232 Infantry Brigade and his family members distributed school accessories among 20 students of Karaveddiyaru Vijitha school in Batticaloa on Wednesday (23 August).
Troops of the 4 Gemunu Watch (4 GW) under the 232 Infantry Brigade organized the event where students in primary classes (Grade 1-5) were the beneficiaries. Each pack, worth Rs. 2500/= contained instruments, pencils, exercise books, drawing pencils, etc.
The principal and 03 teachers of the Karaveddiyaru Vijitha School, 15 parents of the children and 04 officers with 15 other ranks from the 4 GW participated in the event.
