A total of 18 individuals upon completion of the quarantine process at Punani (2), Niupuna Bossa (7) and Ruwala Kalpitiya (9) left for their homes with Quarantine Certificates after the conduct of PCR tests today (9), a statement issued this evening (9) by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) stated.
By today (9), a total of 12,437 quarantined individuals from tri service-managed QCs have left for their homes.
As of now, 5,118 persons are still in quarantine in 43 island-wide QCs, run by tri-services.
As of now, heroic sailors of the Navy confirmed positive to the COVID-19 virus stand at 857 in total. Of them, 540 after full recovery and PCR tests were discharged from hospitals.
