To coincide with the 31st anniversary of the 7 Gajaba Regiment (GR) HQ in Jaffna under command to the 522 Brigade, 31 pregnant women, selected from 522 Brigade area of the 52 Division of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna were gifted with parcels of nutrients and other essentials following sponsorship given by a philanthropist during a simple ceremony at the 7 GR camp premises on Wednesday (22).
Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, Commander, SF-Jaffna as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the 52 Division, General Officer Commanding (GOC) and the Commanding Officer of the 7 GR gave away those 31 packs to 31 selected pregnant women after inviting them to the camp premises.
The 52 Division GOC, Brigadier G.G.A.S Wickramasena, 522 Brigade Commander, Brigadier Samantha Hettige and the Commanding Officer, 7 GR were associated with the arrangement.
