308 More New Recruits Pass Out to Join National Development Tasks

The Passing Out Parade of 308 new recruits in the Course No 2, trained at Mulankavil Battalion Training School (BTS) got underway recently upon completion of their successful three-month long training.

The recruits belonging to Sri Lanka Artillery, Sri Lanka Engineers, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, Gajaba Regiment, Engineer Services Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps, Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps and Sri Lanka National Guard presented a salute to the Chief Guest during the parade.

The ceremony was graced by Brigadier Wasantha Bandara, Commander, 651 Brigade as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Chief Instructor of the BTS, Lieutenant Colonel Sumith Priyantha.

Recruit A.R.S Senevirathne of Corps of Engineer Services was the Best Shooter in the course while Recruit H.G.S Sadeepa of Sri Lanka National Guard was the best in the group.

Best in Physical Training was the Recruit S.C.I.D Chandrasiri of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

The programme was attended by officer instructors along with the administrative staff at the BTS following COVID-19 health guidelines.
