Troops of the 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under the 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters – Central (SFHQ-C), organized an Aloka Pooja and a Sil Programme at Sangamiththa Meditation Center, Nuwaraeliya on the directions of the Unit's Commanding Officer during 30 -31 July to mark " Esala Poya".
The Aloka Pooja programme was held on 30 July under the guidance of Ven. Abepura Dhammika Therani, the senior nun of the centre. A total of 80,000 light bulbs were used for the programme.
On 31 July the Sil programme was conducted by Ven. Dhammika Therani, who invoked blessings on all the devotees. Around 110 Army personnel attended the programme.
