Troops of the 3 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) under the 613 Infantry Brigade of the 61 Division under the Security Force HQ - West donated their blood to the Regional Blood Centre, Kamburugamuwa on 15 February 2023.
In response to a request of the Regional Blood Centre, Kamburugamuwa, the arrangement was made possible with the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces - West and the General Officer Commanding, 61 Infantry Division. Altogether 32 military personnel volunteered to give blood for the benefit of patients in hospitals in the Southern Region.
Commander, 613 Infantry Brigade, along with the Commanding Officer of 3 (V) Gemunu Watch provided their guidance and instructions to make the project successful.
