2nd Phase of Coconut Cultivation Project in Kuttigala Begins

Following guidelines given by the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Brigadier H.A.P.P.K Hewawasam, the 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) detachment in Kuttigala on Saturday (11) launched its 2nd stage of the Coconut Cultivation Project of the 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps by planting saplings in an extent of 200 acres.

With patronage given by the Coconut Cultivation Board of Sri Lanka, the Coconut Cultivation Project got to a start in the presence of the Commanding Officer of the 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps, Lieutenant Colonel C. S Demuni. The Officer Commanding in the Kuttigala Detachment of 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (1 SLAGSC) Major K D Gorakapitiya coordinated the project.
