2,976 Cases Reported in Last 24 Hours - NOCPCO

As of this morning (7), a total of 2,976 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. All of them were locally-identified positive cases, including the majority 805 from Gampaha District, 589 from Colombo District, 300 from Kalutara District and 1282 from different other Districts, states the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

By this morning (7), a total of 205,332 persons, have been confirmed positive to COVID-19 from all over the country, including the dead. Among them, 108,002 were reported after the New Year.

By Monday (7) morning (past 24 hours), 1,172 recovered patients have left care centers. No death has been reported in the past 24 hours.

By Monday (7) morning, 45 persons have left 10 QCs. As of this morning (7), 5,544 persons in 52 hotels and tri service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

By this morning (7) at the time this communiqué was released, the number of isolated areas remains unchanged and movement restrictions that have been enforced would continue.
