Responding to a request made by the Red Cross Society of Royal College-Colombo, a gathering of 270 Army personnel serving the Security Force Headquarters - West area of responsibility, voluntarily donated blood to the Narahenpita Central Blood Bank on Friday (26).
As per guidelines given by Major General Deepal Pussella, Commander, Security Forces - West, troops of the 14 Division and different Regimental Centers in the SFHQ-West area of responsibility, donated blood for this community-oriented event with enthusiasm.
Red Cross Society of Royal College extended its gratitude to the Army for the gesture.
