24 Division Troops Commemorates Late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa

The 24 Infantry Division arranged a religious programme in memory of late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa on his 31st death anniversary day (8 Aug) at the 24 Infantry Division premises in Ampara.

During the event, a Dhamma oration was delivered by a Buddhist monk after the traditional tray of betel was offered by Major General W. Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division. The sermon transferred merits to late Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa and all war heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice at Araly Point in Kayts, Jaffna.

This religious programme was organized under the guidance of Major General W Chandrasiri RSP USP psc, General Officer Commanding, 24 Infantry Division with the participation of more than 200 troops, including Officers and Other ranks.
