The 24 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - East with sponsorship received from Janashakthi Insurance Pvt Ltd gave away a stock of medical equipment, worth about Rs 4 million to Kalmunai and Ampara Hospitals on Thursday (7) after the requirement was projected to the sponsor.
The 24 Division HQ facilitated the distribution as part of the community sector projects of the Division in order to make the COVID-19 treatment work more effective in those hospitals on the instructions of the Commander Security Forces - East Major General Channa Weerasuriya.
General Officer Commanding, 24 Division, Major General Chaminda Lamahewa, Commander 241 Brigade Colonel Chandra Abeykoon, Civil Affairs Officer 24 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Anas Ahamed and Commanding Officer of 3 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Major Shantha Wijekoon participated in the event.
