233 Brigade troops of the 23 Division of the Security Force HQ-East organized a special educative programme at Vakarai Maha Vidyalaya on Thursday (25) in order to promote students’ personal development traits and cricket playing.
The students and the teachers were educated on possible improvement of positive thinking, social discipline, skill development, mental health and stability and the way to challenge the challenges, etc. In addition, some practical cricket sessions were also conducted under the close supervision of cricket coaches.
The programme was organized under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Channa Weerasuriya and under the supervision of the General Officer Commander, 23 Division, Major General Nalin Koswatte and Commander, 233 Brigade, Colonel Wasantha Hewage.
Dr. Ravikumar, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) coach for the Eastern province, Mr. Nilantha Wimalaweera, Sports Instructor for Batticaloa District, Mrs. Ida Jhonsion, Ampara District Cricket coach, Dilki Weenagoda, Batticaloa District Cricket coach, Kabeer Anwardin, together with the GOC, 23 Division, Commander, 233 Brigade, Principal, Kadiraveli National College and Vakarai Maha Vidyalaya participated in this event.
