MULLAITTIVU: 23 TIGER terrorists, unable to survive the onslaught of the advancing troops surrendered to the troops this morning (26) immediately after the troops ordered them to lay down arms after the capture of VALAYANMADAM area.
Those terrorists including 17 males and 06 females with their weapons however surrendered to the troops after they were encircled.
With their surrender, two-hundred more trapped civilians were also rescued by the troops immediately after the enemy’s surrender.
Now, surrendees are being taken to a special demarcated area for onward arrangements.
