With the coordination of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ - E), troops serving 224 Brigade under 22 Division in Thopur conducted a series of community-oriented projects in the previous week.
A Dengue prevention week, Conference on religious harmony, Meeting with Sedanavel re-settled villagers and Resettlement of people in their permanent houses were among the projects that were launched during the week.
During these programmes, 224 Brigade Commander in Thopur together with senior officers listened to their problems and discussed ways and means to find solutions to their problems and other requirements.
Meanwhile, 14 Sri Lanka National Guard troops serving the 232 Brigade under 23 Division recently offered medical assistance and dry ration packets to villagers at Kurulubedda and Mahasenpura.
