Troops of the 221 Brigade of the 22 Division launched a tree planting programme in Kuchchaweli, Pallawakulam area on Friday (21). Troops of the 17 Sri Lanka National Guard under command to the 221 Brigade under the project planted 1000 'Mee' saplings during the project.
Major General Saliya Amunugama, General Officer Commanding, 22 Division participated in the event as the Chief Guest.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and villagers gave the full support to the success of the project.
