The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 22 Infantry Division, Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndc undertook formal visits to 221, 222 and 223 Infantry Brigades and under command battalions in Trincomalee and suburbs during 8 - 14 June 2023 after his assumption of new office.
At each HQ and unit, he was welcomed and given a briefing on the role and tasks of the respective unit before he addressed the troops at each location.
On the final day of the series of visits, he visited the Battalion Training School (BTS) at Thaulwewa and spoke to the 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps troops currently under training at the BTS. During the visit, the GOC also delivered a motivational lecture on ‘Life’ to the troops under training.
